About the bird

Hi, I’m Noelle—on the trail, they call me “Birdie.”

I’m an outdoor storyteller, writer, and mountain athlete fueled by a love of adventure, authenticity, and a deep spiritual connection with nature.

In 2024, I hiked from Mexico to Canada on the Pacific Crest Trail (PCT). In 2025, I carried that spirit into trekking through Patagonia, the Andes, and the Alps, and attempting a Fastest Known Time (FKT) on the Oregon section of the PCT. Along the way, I’ve trained as a Wilderness First Responder and built a practice of sharing the trail through film, photography, and writing.

I thrive on raw, unfiltered adventure and seek to capture the essence of the wild through stories that resonate far beyond the trail. My work is about connection, resilience, and the lessons we carry home from wild places.

Through my Bird’s Nest community and creative platforms (@noellejeanseward), I share resources, inspiration, and honest storytelling to support others in pursuing their own journeys. Looking forward, I’m building toward bigger expeditions, new creative projects, and ways to blend athletic performance, storytelling, and environmental advocacy into meaningful impact.
